Final revision advice

Please ensure you pay close attention to the EBIs you identified following the mock exam and revise the key areas and practise the skills you need to develop.

The Level 4 response and the Examiner's Report on the Merlin question are saved as lesson resources for today in the usual place

Please check the blog for any lessons you have missed to fill any gaps in your knowledge and make use of the revision materials that have been provided - including the invaluable article written by the examiner himself on how to approach the exam!

Remember: Focus on the question!

Section A: TV Drama: Exam practice

Click here to see examples of extracts for you to practice your exam technique. You should work through these as revision over the Easter holidays and must submit at least one exam practice (The extract from 'Primeval' below) on the first day back, Monday 15th April.

Remember the format of the question is always the same - only the bold underlined word is subject to change.

Discuss the ways in which the extract constructs representation of AREA OF REPRESENTATION using the following:
- Camera shots, angles, movement and compositon
- Editing
- Sound
- Mise en scene

You should follow up each class exam practice with at least one of these, so that you can a) act on your EBIs and b) practise writing TONS under the pressure of timed conditions! (4 screenings - Take notes on screenings 2-4 only and then 45 minutes to write the essay)

These are the extracts we have studied in class:
